For as long as I can remember, I have always loved making things for people. As a kid, I would draw different flowers for each member of my family and create custom holiday gifts specifically designed for each person. In summer camp, I would take orders for friendship bracelets, making sure each person got the colors and the design they wanted. I’m so happy to have returned to my roots by offering personalized art pieces by commission.

My most popular types of commissions are house portraits and pet portraits, but I love a creative challenge, too. Some fulfilled requests I’ve gotten include:

  • “a painting representing my dearest friendship”

  • “a section of my backyard with the fox that routinely visits us”

  • “a charcoal rendition of one of my dad’s black and white portrait photographs”

  • “a portrait to introduce my current dog to my dog who passed away a year ago”

  • “a huge beautiful copper beech tree in front of our house that was taken down and we were so sad about it”

I work with each customer closely to bring their vision to life and I am experienced in combining imagery from multiple reference photos.

how the process works

Send me a message through my contact page to begin the process and tell me about your idea. From there, we will discuss size, medium, cost, and timeline. I’ll ask for any initial reference photos and a $50 deposit toward the painting to secure your place on my waitlist.

When your piece is up next, I will reach out to collect any additional reference photos and special requests for the piece, such as inscriptions.

From there, I create a sketch in pencil for your approval and make adjustments according to your wishes. When you are happy with the sketch, I complete the piece according to the specifications that we discussed and voila! A beautiful, fully customized, original piece of art just for you.

Finished work can be picked up at my home studio if you are local to Philadelphia or shipped anywhere in the world at an additional cost. I accept Venmo, Zelle, cash, check, or credit card (at an additional 3%).
